How Rides are Hailed
LESSON Nº 2.1
There is a number of different transfer requests you may receive from Welcome Pickups
Types of Transfers
01. Personal Request 02. Personal Request with Autocheck Error 03. Broadcast Request 04. Reassignments 05. Combinations 06. Sightseeing Rides 07. Public Requests
The most common type of request you’ll receive. You will have a limited amount of time to accept before the request is sent to the next driver.
01. Personal Request
These are transfers with an associated error. You need to resolve the error by yourself or with help from the traveller before you can operate.
02. Personal Request with Autocheck Error
These are transfers booked very close to the operation time. They are sent out to all available drivers. They are cancelled after one hour, so if you can operate them, you need to accept quickly.
03. Broadcast Request
04. Reassignment
In some cases, if a driver cannot operate a transfer, they are allowed to reassign the transfer to another driver.
A combination is two transfers offered as one. Usually refers to a drop-off at an airport followed by a pickup from the same airport.
05. Combination
These are tour-like rides we offer in certain destinations. They can be from 2 hours up to 12 hours in duration.
06. Sightseeing Ride
Transfers that no driver has accepted appear in the public list. If you can accommodate one of these transfers, accept it as fast as possible as these get cancelled after one hour.
07. Public List
When do you receive a transfer request?
When a transfer booking comes in, we check a number of factors including:
List of eligible drivers
The Vehicle type Luggage capacity Driver availability Special requirements
With all this information, our system will create a list of eligible drivers.
The drivers on the list will receive the request one by one. Each driver will have 40 minutes to accept. This list is sorted by the drivers’ position on the Leaderboard. But wait! What is the Leaderboard?
Serial Hailing
Leaderboard
In every destination, we have a leaderboard ranking all the drivers according to their performance. The better performance metrics a driver has, the higher they sit on the leaderboard. Let’s go over the metrics we use to calculate your leaderboard score.
Leaderboard
This is the average rating of all the reviews you receive from travellers
Rating
Acceptance Rate counts how many transfer requests you accept from Welcome
Acceptance Rate
Reliability Rate counts how many transfers you removed from your schedule after having previously accepted them
Reliability Rate
Return Rides is the percentage of extra Welcome rides you booked for your travellers
Return Rides
Experiences is the percentage of Sightseeing Rides you have booked for your travellers *
Experiences
*Where applicable
We combine all these metrics to calculate your performance score. Then drivers are ranked on the leaderboard according to this score. The higher you are versus other drivers, the more rides you will get.
Score
1. Transfer requests come in a lot of different types including personal requests, broadcasts, reassignments combinations, and public. Pay close attention to personal requests as they can affect your performance rating! 2. Transfers are hailed to a list of eligible drivers 3. The order by which these transfers are hailed is based on the drivers’ leaderboard position 4. The leaderboard position shows your performance against that of other drivers in your city
