Payments
LESSON Nº 2.3
The way we pay drivers is fairly simple and works like this. Every Wednesday you are getting paid for all transfers you have operated up until Tuesday of the previous week, if that payment amount exceeds 100 EUR. Ok maybe not that simple! Let’s break it down with an example.
Payments
Let’s say for example that you have operated transfers from Wednesday the 1st, up until Tuesday the 7th (a whole week) and the amount owed to you is more than 100 EUR. You will be paid this amount on Wednesday the 15th. For the following week, from the 8th to the 14th, if you reach the 100 EUR threshold , you will be paid on the 22nd.
Weekly Payments
100 eur threshold
But what if you do not reach the 100 EUR threshold? What happens then? If you reach the threshold during the following week, you will receive the full payment on the week after. In our example you only made 30 EUR in the first week, so you did not get paid on the 15th. In the following week, you made 80 EUR, however because another 30 is owed from the previous week, you cross the 100 EUR threshold and will get paid the full amount (30+80 EUR = 110 EUR) on the 22nd.
Don’t worry if you do not manage to reach the 100 EUR threshold within the month. On the first Wednesday of every month, we pay our drivers any amounts that are owed to them for the previous month. In our example your operated transfers add up to 90 EUR. In that case, you receive this amount on the first Wednesday of the following month.
Monthly Payments
Paid to Driver
Because drivers can book transfers that are directly paid to them, there is a case where you might need to return a commission to Welcome Pickups. Well, do not worry, the amount that is owed to Welcome will be automatically deducted from your next payment. There is no need to do anything from your part.
Welcome pickups transfers are pre-booked and prepaid in most cases. For each transfer, Welcome Pickups keeps a commission and the rest is paid out to the driver.
Payments are made via the agreed payment method (either wire transfer or through a payment provider). We send out payments on Tuesday and it may take a couple of working days for the amount to appear in your account.
Payment Method
All information on payments is found under “Accounting” on the “Account” page of your app. That’s where you can find info on pending payments, past payments and payment history.
Accounting Section
To recap: • You get paid weekly for the transfers operated up until the week before. • There is a EUR 100 threshold you need to cross in order to get paid on a weekly basis. • All amounts owed are paid on the first Wednesday of every month, even if they are below the threshold. • Transfers paid to the driver produce a commission that is owed to Welcome. This is deducted from your next payment.
